Hundreds of tons of oatmeal await 30,000 scouts in nine-day camp

Up to 30,000 scouts from Denmark and abroad will gather in Hedeland Nature Park near Roskilde for a nine-day camp starting today, bringing a temporary city of tents, stoves, and infrastructure to the site.

The camp, organized by the Danish Scout Association, features a full supply chain: fresh water, electricity, internet, and sanitation facilities, including thousands of metres of toilet paper.

Activities include open-fire cooking, singing, and badge workshops, with an estimated daily consumption of hundreds of tons of oatmeal alone.
