The online auction for Hotel Tallukka in Asikkala concluded Friday with a winning bid of €202,000, less than half the €450,000 paid by a Chinese company last autumn.

The property, located along Highway 24 between Lakes Vesijärvi and Päijänne, was listed with a starting price of €200,000 after an earlier auction in May failed to attract any bids. A single offer of €201,000 was placed before the final 30 minutes, when a second bid raised the price by €1,000.

Greenstar Oy, the hotel operator, confirmed it is attempting to sell the property but declined to provide further details. The sale terms on the auction site state the seller is committed to accepting the highest offer.

The Finnish Defence Ministry blocked a previous sale of the hotel and surrounding properties to a China-backed buyer in June, citing national security concerns. Nordic Inn Oy, the current owner, must divest the property by early January 2027 under the ministry’s ruling.
