Finnish ruling party at lowest support in over five years
A new Helsingin Sanomat poll published by Yle shows the National Coalition Party’s support has fallen to its lowest level in more than five years, at 16.7%.
The last time the party, led by Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, recorded lower support in the survey was in April 2021.
The opposition Social Democratic Party remains the most popular with 23.8%, followed by the governing Finns Party at 14.2% and the opposition Centre Party at 13.7%.
The survey, conducted by Verian, interviewed over 3,500 people online. The margin of error for the largest parties is about 1.7 percentage points.
