Warrant issued for Vastaamo hacker Aleksanteri Kivimäki

Finnish police have issued a warrant for Aleksanteri Kivimäki, the hacker convicted in the Vastaamo data breach, public broadcaster Yle reports.

The Eastern Uusimaa police confirmed to Yle that the warrant was activated following a request from the Criminal Sanctions Agency. Authorities say Kivimäki must be arrested on sight and taken to prison to serve his sentence.

The Supreme Court rejected Kivimäki’s appeal for a leave to appeal on Monday.
