Evi Hallursdóttir Lejstrup, currently in Denmark, received a call from her son in the Faroe Islands around 4 AM. He reported that he had been suddenly attacked by seven strangers, resulting in a broken jaw.

According to Hallursdóttir Klejstrup, no one came to assist her 20-year-old son when he was assaulted at Tórsfest, and no one checked on him afterward. She expresses her disbelief, asking, “Where was the help? And why didn’t anyone call for an ambulance or the police when my son was attacked and beaten at Tórsfest?”

Her son had been in the Faroe Islands for summer vacation and was out in the town of Tórsfest with a friend at the time of the incident. Evi contacted his grandmother, who went to Tórshavn to look for him. The young man, unfamiliar with the area, could not provide clear information about his location.

The guards who had intervened in the fight left the scene immediately afterward, and reportedly, no assistance was rendered by bystanders. Hallursdóttir stated that police did not arrive at the scene.

While several individuals participated in the attack, one person was particularly leading the assault. On Ólavsøka, Hallursdóttir received a video showing the alleged assailant at the festival. She has since questioned the police about how the attacker was allowed to remain at large.

It is believed that her son may suffer from ongoing issues as a result of the attack.
