All Faroese municipalities were legally required to appoint an integration coordinator as of 1 July, but several have yet to do so, KVF reports.

While most municipalities have designated coordinators, others have opted to share the role. In Sands, Nes, Sjóvar, Sunda, and Eiðis municipalities, no dedicated integration coordinator has been appointed.

In Nes, the municipal manager, Elsbet Ellingsgaard Magnussen, has temporarily assumed the role alongside her existing duties. In Sjóvar and Sunda, current welfare staff are fulfilling the function. Eiði has appointed Paula Bøgesvang, a teacher, as a part-time coordinator.

Sandoy remains the only municipality without any designated coordinator, though work on the issue is underway.

The six northern municipalities—Klaksvík, Fuglafjørður, Eystur, Kunoy, Hvannasund, Viðareiði, and Fugloy—have jointly appointed Sóley Sjúrðaberg as their shared integration coordinator, effective 1 May.
