A warm air mass is bringing heat to Finland this weekend, with temperatures in the southeast expected to reach nearly 30°C, according to Yle.

Friday will be mostly dry and sunny nationwide, with a weather front stretching from the west coast to North Karelia bringing scattered showers. Eastern regions may also see isolated thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures will range between 20°C and 25°C across most of the country.

On Saturday, warm and humid air will flow from the southeast into southern and central Finland. While northern areas will see rain showers, the south may experience strong thunderstorms. However, much of the country will remain sunny and dry. Temperatures will climb to 28°C in the southeast, while northern Lapland will stay around 15°C. The heat could become oppressive in parts of eastern Finland.

Sunday will see the weather front shift from the southwest to Kainuu, with thunderstorms possible in the south and southwest, where heavy rain may occur in places. The southeast could again approach 30°C.
