Deceased individual discovered after fire in private residence in Muurame

A deceased individual was discovered in a private residence that caught fire in Muurame on Thursday evening, according to Keskisuomalainen. The Central Finland Rescue Service received an alert about a medium-sized building fire on Uusipitkäläntie in Muurame around 8 PM. The fire was reported after a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the home and called the emergency services.

Recovery operations at the site are still ongoing. According to Keskisuomalainen, the police are continuing their investigation into the cause of death. Authorities do not suspect any criminal activity in relation to the incident.
