Electrical fault causes train delays across Finland

An electrical fault on the track between Järvenpää and Ainola is causing delays of 10–15 minutes for trains on Finland’s main line and long-distance services, Yle reports.

The disruption, confirmed by traffic agency Fintraffic, affects R commuter trains and intercity services. Morning trains from Helsinki to Vaasa and Pieksämäki were among those delayed.

Repairs will not begin until tonight due to the extent of the damage.
