Boat catches fire off coast of Sipoo, seven individuals safely rescued

A boat caught fire off the coast of Sipoo this afternoon. Seven individuals aboard managed to escape to a life raft, where they were subsequently transported for assessment by emergency medical services. According to the Coast Guard, none of the passengers suffered any serious injuries in the incident. The damaged vessel has since been towed to a sheltered harbor.

Emergency units from the Border Guard, the East Uusimaa Rescue Service, and the Gulf of Finland Coast Guard were dispatched to the scene.
