Thunderstorms expected across Finland on Tuesday
A cold weather front will bring rain and thunderstorms to much of Finland on Tuesday morning, with the most intense storms expected in the western parts of the country, according to Yle’s weather service.
Northern regions may see heavy rainfall in places. By Tuesday afternoon, the front and its associated storms will largely move eastward, clearing skies for most of the country. Sunshine will break through the clouds, though the north will have to wait until evening for clearer conditions.
Despite cooler air flowing in from the west, temperatures in the south may still reach heatwave levels in some areas. Wednesday will see weak high pressure dominate, bringing mostly dry weather with variable cloud cover.
