Midt- og Vestsjællands Police have warned festivalgoers against stepping onto railway tracks or motorways near Roskilde Festival, calling the behaviour life-threatening.

The warning follows the death of a 21-year-old man who was struck by a train early Sunday. Vice police inspector Søren Danielsen, leading the police operation at the festival, urged attendees to follow traffic rules and look out for one another, especially when leaving with heavily intoxicated companions.

Overnight, police received multiple reports of young people near the motorway and railway tracks surrounding the festival site. Officers responded to two incidents involving a 17-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man found near the tracks at different times, temporarily halting train services. Additionally, three young men were seen in the emergency lane of the nearby motorway.

Danielsen emphasised the extreme danger, particularly for those unsteady on their feet, who risk collisions with trains or vehicles.
