Woman found dead in Lahti apartment, police suspect homicide

Police in Häme are investigating a suspected homicide after a woman was found dead in a Lahti apartment late Saturday night.

The emergency call came in before midnight on June 27, prompting officers to a residential building in the Tonttila district. There, they discovered the deceased woman. Authorities believe she died as a result of violence.

A suspect was arrested early Sunday, a few hours after the crime was reported. Police plan to request remand for the suspect in court on Tuesday, June 30.
