The Central Bank of the Faroe Islands will raise both deposit and lending rates by 0.25 percent on 27 July, following a similar move by the European Central Bank two weeks earlier.
The increase applies to private customers and businesses alike. The bank cited commercial considerations, changes in the Danish central bank’s rates, and overall market conditions as reasons for the adjustment.
