Swedish police reported a chaotic Midsummer Eve, with incidents ranging from public intoxication to serious assaults, according to SVT.

In Stockholm, officers responded to calls in Hammarby Sjöstad at around 17:20 after reports of two drunk men, aged 50–55, exposing themselves, vomiting, and shouting offensive remarks. Police removed the men from the area, and one was later suspected of incitement against a population group. Later, at 21:00, police were alerted to a rooftop party in Gärdet where attendees threw beer cans and eggs from the roof. All 23 underage attendees were reported to social services.

In western Sweden, police dealt with alcohol-related disturbances and assaults. Just before midnight, officers were called to Brännö island near Gothenburg, where a man was taken to hospital with a neck injury after being struck with a bottle. A 20-year-old suspect was later arrested for aggravated assault.

In Karlskrona, three people reported being assaulted by the same individual during Midsummer celebrations. None sustained serious injuries. Police located the suspected teenage attacker at the scene, who became aggressive during transport and was restrained.

Northern Sweden saw a quieter night, though police noted an uptick in minor disputes, drunk driving, and assaults linked to increased alcohol consumption.
