The Faroese prime minister has announced plans to strengthen market oversight as part of efforts to prevent drug abuse, following a review of progress on a 58-point national action plan introduced over four years ago.
Beinir Johannesen told Kringvarp Føroya that work on the measures is ongoing, though he did not specify how many have been implemented. He confirmed that cross-agency cooperation and market supervision would both be reinforced.
The action plan was adopted by the government to address and reduce drug use in the Faroe Islands.
