EU adopts new air passenger rights to simplify ticket pricing

The European Union has adopted new passenger rights that will make it easier to compare flight prices, Danish broadcaster DR reports.

Under the rules, correcting name errors on tickets will be free, parents and children under 14 will be guaranteed free seating together, and the price of hand luggage must be included in the initial ticket price displayed during purchase.

The new rights take effect next year, following years of negotiations.
