Police deny permission for “Epikset” dance event in Kuusamo

The police have denied permission for the organization of the “Epikset” dance event that was scheduled to take place in Kuusamo from August 1 to 3. Commissioner Ari Kouva from the Oulu police did not elaborate on the specific reasons for the denial but noted that strict deadlines and safety deficiencies were contributing factors.

According to Kouva, the police have encouraged the event organizers to consider rescheduling the event. He clarified that the permit has not been categorically denied, only for the originally planned dates. There is currently no information available about whether the event will be held in any form despite the denial of the permit.
