Vattenfall selects Rolls-Royce for new nuclear reactors

Videberg Kraft, the project company behind plans for new nuclear power at Ringhals, has chosen British firm Rolls-Royce as its reactor supplier, the company announced at a press briefing on Monday.

Videberg Kraft is jointly owned by Vattenfall and the industrial consortium Industrikraft. The group has applied for state support to fund small modular reactors at the Ringhals site.

Rolls-Royce was selected over GE Vernova Hitachi as the preferred supplier for the project.
