A woman in her 80s has died from injuries sustained in a head-on collision last week in Rælingen, police confirmed to Romerikes Blad. Her husband was declared dead at the scene.
The crash occurred last Monday, with the woman—who was driving—initially listed as critically injured and airlifted to Ullevål Hospital. Per Morten Hvattum, section leader for investigation at Lillestrøm police district, confirmed her death. The couple lived in Lillestrøm municipality.
“We have no lives to lose in traffic. This is very sad, and I have deep sympathy for the family and relatives,” Lillestrøm mayor Kjartan Berland told Romerikes Blad.
