Police investigate Polish-led drug organization in Finland

The Eastern Uusimaa Police Department has reported that it is investigating a large-scale organization involved in drug importation and distribution. The criminal group, believed to be Polish-led, is suspected of having imported and distributed an “exceptionally large” quantity of drugs in Finland. The substances in question include cocaine, amphetamine, and Alpha-PVP.

The investigation covers the period from autumn 2022 to December 2023 and has been designated Operation Sunset. The case is now moving towards the prosecution phase.

The police will hold a press conference this afternoon to provide further details. Updates on the situation are expected.
