A Finnish biker gang linked to the international Satan’s Choice Motorcycle Club illegally occupied a private business property in Helsinki’s Malmi district, with police now investigating the case as unlawful entry, assault, and extortion, Yle reports.
The gang, originally known as Beastside Elite MC, took control of a roughly 200-square-meter clubhouse on Ormuspellontie in summer 2025 without permission or payment. The premises had been legally rented since 2021 to another motorcycle club, Kraftwolf MC, which terminated its lease in early 2025. Shortly after Kraftwolf’s departure, Beastside moved in, later rebranding under the Satan’s Choice name.
Multiple sources told Yle the takeover was violent, with Kraftwolf members forced to abandon the site abruptly, leaving behind tools and equipment worth thousands of euros. One source described receiving an ultimatum: “Get your bikes the fuck out of here.”
The property is owned by a deeply religious retired businessman, according to public records. Sources claim he was hospitalized after being beaten by gang members when he confronted them in summer 2025. “He was beaten to the point of needing medical care,” a party involved in resolving the dispute told Yle. Neither the owner nor Satan’s Choice responded to requests for comment.
Helsinki police confirmed they are investigating the occupation as unlawful entry, assault, and extortion, with the case now under prosecutorial review. It remains unclear whether the assault under investigation occurred at the clubhouse or elsewhere.
Despite police intervention—including a May eviction—gang members have repeatedly returned. During a June visit, Yle observed Satan’s Choice insignia still displayed at the site. Neighbors reported the property had otherwise been quiet, though one recognized a gang member visiting the previous week.
The case has an unusual connection to a destructive fire in Vantaa in April. The same landlord owns a separate business whose production facilities burned down days after gang members were evicted from the Malmi clubhouse. Police investigated rumors the fire was arson in retaliation for the eviction but found no evidence of foul play, attributing it to lithium-ion tool batteries. “We were aware of the background, but the fire investigation concluded there was no reason to suspect a crime,” said Detective Inspector Markku Lylykangas of the Eastern Uusimaa Police.
Beastside Elite MC first emerged publicly in 2025 as a self-declared “one-percenter” criminal gang before merging with Canada’s Satan’s Choice MC—a process known as “patching over,” where smaller clubs are absorbed into larger networks. While Satan’s Choice has rapidly expanded internationally, its Finnish chapter appears small, with around ten members visible in published photos.
