Children at a national climate forum have handed Denmark’s incoming administration a set of proposals to tackle plastic pollution in the oceans, state broadcaster DR reports.

The event, known as the Children’s Climate Meeting, brought together young participants who drafted recommendations for what they called “Denmark’s greenest government.” Their proposals focused on reducing plastic waste and protecting marine environments.

The meeting was organised to give children a platform to voice concerns ahead of the new government’s environmental policy decisions.
