Police arrest person over threats and weapons offences

Police in the capital region arrested one person on suspicion of making threats and violating weapons laws, mbl.is reported, citing the police log.

The arrest was among incidents recorded between 5pm yesterday and 5am today. The unit responsible for Kópavogur and Breiðholt made the arrest.

Police in the unit covering Hafnarfjörður, Garðabær and Álftanes arrested a driver for suspected drink- and drug-driving. The vehicle was found to be stolen. Officers also fined one driver for driving without a licence and another for using a mobile phone while driving.
