Finland’s ice hockey world champions return to Helsinki

Finland’s men’s national ice hockey team landed at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport on Monday afternoon after winning the IIHF World Championship, state broadcaster Yle reported.
The team’s flight touched down shortly before 3 p.m. local time, drawing widespread public attention. Over 28,000 users tracked the arrival in real time on the flight-monitoring service Flightradar24.
Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen confirmed earlier that the champions were escorted by Finnish Air Force fighter jets on their return.
