Three dead in head-on collision between car and truck in Tynset

A head-on crash between a passenger car and a tractor-trailer in Tynset municipality early Saturday morning left three people dead, Norwegian police reported.

The collision occurred on a road in Innlandet county, involving four individuals in total. All three occupants of the car were killed, while the truck driver emerged unharmed, according to authorities. Emergency services responded to the scene, where investigations are ongoing.

The road remains closed at the crash site, with detours routed via the E6 highway, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration confirmed. Operations manager Pål Gjestvang told Dagbladet that the cause of the accident is not yet known.
