Inflation in Finland rose to 1.5 percent in April, up from 1.3 percent in March, according to new data from Statistics Finland.

The increase was primarily driven by higher prices for diesel, petrol, and heating oil, the agency reported. Meanwhile, falling costs for housing loans, consumer credit, student loans, and document fees helped curb the overall rise.

Core inflation, which excludes food and energy prices, stood at 0.6 percent in April.
