Faroese parliament to vote on €2.7m fuel tax relief proposal
The Faroese Parliament (Løgtingið) will today debate a bill granting the government authority to allocate 20 million Danish kroner (€2.7m) to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
The Finance Committee has reviewed the proposal, which amends existing VAT legislation, and is expected to present its position on the matter during the session. Six other bills are also scheduled for their first reading in today’s meeting, beginning at 09:00 local time.
