Fatal Collision in Nordre Follo Kills Driver in His 20s

A man in his 20s died on Wednesday after a head-on collision between a truck and a passenger car in Nordre Follo, police confirmed, Dagbladet reports.

The crash occurred at 5:52 PM local time, with the driver of the car pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been notified. The deceased was a resident of Østfold.

Operational manager Ronny Hellerud Samuelsen of the Øst Police District stated that the victim was trapped in the vehicle, and the collision appeared severe. The truck driver was uninjured but taken to an emergency clinic for assessment.

The road remains closed for an extended period as the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s accident investigation team and the Accident Commission examine the scene.
