Motorcyclist dies in crash in Sandnes
A motorcyclist was confirmed dead at the scene of a crash in Sandnes on Monday afternoon, Norwegian police reported.
According to Dagbladet, emergency services responded to the incident in Søredalen shortly before 12:30 PM. The rider, a resident of Stavanger, was declared dead upon arrival. Next of kin have been notified.
“It appears the motorcycle left the road,” operations manager Victor Fenne-Jensen told the newspaper. “We have no information suggesting other vehicles were involved.”
The road was closed following the crash as police conducted witness interviews and forensic examinations. Both accident investigators from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and forensic technicians were called to the scene. As of 4:00 PM, police confirmed the road remained closed while technical investigations continued.
