Faroe Islands marks Flag Day with nationwide ceremonies

The Faroe Islands celebrates its annual Flag Day today with ceremonies held across the country, public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.

In the capital Tórshavn, the official event begins at 15:00 local time, with live radio coverage hosted by Brynhild Thomsen. The national broadcaster will air the proceedings from the ceremony.

Flag Day, known locally as Flaggdagur, is observed with gatherings in towns and villages throughout the islands.
