Major rescue operation underway after train collision

A large-scale rescue effort is ongoing after two trains collided on the Gribskov line in Denmark early Thursday morning, public broadcaster DR reports.

At least four people are in critical condition, according to Region Hovedstaden, the capital region’s health authority. Emergency services deployed seven ambulances, two rapid response vehicles, three patient transport units, and an incident commander to the scene. A military helicopter also assisted in rescue operations.

Health officials confirmed a total of 17 patients were treated following the collision.
