Pregnancy screening expert available for live Q&A on prenatal testing

Swedish public broadcaster SVT is hosting a live chat with Ylva Carlsson, senior consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, to answer questions about prenatal diagnostics.

The session, beginning at 19:00 today, will cover topics including non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and combined ultrasound and blood tests (KUB). Questions can be submitted in advance.

Carlsson, a specialist in prenatal screening, will address public queries about current testing capabilities and the latest developments in fetal diagnostics.

The event follows recent reports on changes to Sweden’s prenatal screening programmes, including the phasing out of KUB tests in several regions.
