Sweden’s 1177 healthcare portal hit by widespread login outage

Sweden’s national healthcare information service 1177 is experiencing major technical issues, preventing users from logging in, SVT Nyheter reports.

Problems began around 14:30 local time on Monday, according to user reports compiled by the outage-tracking site Downdetector. Those attempting to access their accounts are met with error messages.

Inera, the state-owned company operating the 1177 platform, confirmed the disruption. “That’s correct. We are currently investigating the issue,” press officer Annicka Troedsson told SVT. No timeline for restoration has been provided.

“We are working flat out to resolve it,” Troedsson added.

The 1177 portal provides Swedes with digital access to medical records, e-prescriptions, and healthcare advice. The service is widely used for booking and managing appointments across the country’s regional health authorities.
