Danish invention could save lives in Ukraine against new Russian ammunition
A Danish company has developed protective armour plates capable of stopping a new type of Russian ammunition that penetrates standard body armour used by Ukrainian soldiers, Danish broadcaster DR reports.
A high-ranking source in Ukraine’s defence forces told DR that the use of this ammunition by Russian troops is becoming an increasing problem on the front lines. The Danish-made plates are designed to withstand the otherwise armour-piercing projectiles.
The invention comes as Ukrainian forces face growing challenges from advanced Russian weaponry, with the protective solution offering a potential lifeline for soldiers exposed to the new threat.
