Only one applicant for priest position in Tvøroyri parish

The Faroese national church has received just a single application for the priest position in the northern Suðuroy parish, covering the villages of Tvøroyri, Hvalba, Fámjin, and Sandvík, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
The Church Council, which includes the bishop, will review the application this month. The successful candidate is expected to begin work on 1 August. The position is appointed by the national government’s church affairs department.
The parish includes four churches in Tvøroyri, Hvalba, Fámjin, and Sandvík, as well as a prayer house in Ørðavík.
