Fire breaks out at Copenhagen sauna club
A sauna club on Refshalevej in Copenhagen caught fire early Friday morning, with police and emergency services remaining at the scene, Danish broadcaster DR reports.
Authorities received the alert at 5:17 AM, according to Jesper Frandsen, duty officer at Copenhagen Police. The blaze, described as “intense,” has since been extinguished, though firefighters expect to continue dampening efforts until around noon.
No injuries or evacuations have been reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigators cannot examine the site until the fire department completes its work.
