Three drones that recently crashed in Finland have been identified as Ukrainian, according to a summary by national broadcaster Yle. The unmanned aircraft were discovered in Kitee, Luumäki, and Kouvola, all in southeastern Finland.

The Kitee drone was found on Tuesday on the ice of Pyhäjärvi lake, while the Luumäki and Kouvola drones were located on Sunday. Finnish authorities have launched investigations into the incidents, with the National Bureau of Investigation (KRP) treating the Kitee case as endangerment and the Luumäki and Kouvola cases as aggravated endangerment.

Investigators are working to determine how the drones ended up in Finland. Ukraine has carried out multiple drone strikes on Russian oil terminals in the Baltic Sea region in recent months. Similar stray drones have also been reported in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Finnish experts suggest more drones could be found in the coming days. Authorities allowed the drones to land without intervention, and specialists are assessing potential causes for their off-course flights.

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo previously stated that Finland has communicated to Ukraine its serious view on violations of territorial integrity.
