Faroese coalition negotiations expanded to include more party representatives
The three party leaders negotiating to form a new Faroese government have agreed to broaden the talks by including additional representatives from each party, national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.
Beinir Johannesen, leader of the People’s Party (Fólkaflokkurin) and head of the negotiations, confirmed that more members from the People’s Party, Union Party (Sambandsflokkurin), and Social Democratic Party (Javnaðarflokkurin) will now participate in the discussions. A joint policy document will be drafted based on the three parties’ political platforms.
The leaders met earlier to outline how the negotiations should proceed. No talks will take place during the Easter holiday, with the next session scheduled for April 10.
