The Finnish Industrial Union reports that more than 10% of its digital enquiries now come from foreign-born workers, a growing trend highlighted in a media briefing on Wednesday.
According to the union, these contacts frequently concern compliance with collective bargaining agreements. The number of enquiries from both foreign workers and authorities has risen steadily in recent years.
The union also noted an overall increase in disputes and legal cases related to workplace issues. It currently represents thousands of members whose native language is neither Finnish nor Swedish.
