A new exhibition in Copenhagen uses Lego bricks to visualise the growing divide in Denmark’s housing market, reports Danish broadcaster DR.

The installation, titled How High Can You Build?, displays stacks of Lego representing the maximum home price first-time buyers can afford based on their income. The tallest towers—symbolising higher earners—dwarf the shorter stacks of lower-income groups, highlighting how wage differences directly translate into housing opportunities.

Organisers say the project aims to spark discussion about affordability as property prices continue to rise. “It’s a tangible way to show how the housing market isn’t just about supply and demand—it’s about who can actually participate,” a spokesperson told DR.

The exhibition runs through the end of the month at a central Copenhagen location.
