Á list introduces municipal election candidates in Rangárþing ytra

The Á list, a local political group in Rangárþing ytra municipality in southern Iceland, has presented its candidate slate for the upcoming local elections.

The party, which currently holds seats on the municipal council, announced its lineup ahead of the May 2026 vote. Rangárþing ytra, formed in 2018 through the merger of three smaller municipalities, covers a rural area along Iceland’s southern coast.

Local elections in Iceland determine council representation for four-year terms, with the next vote scheduled for spring 2026. The Á list is one of several parties contesting seats in the 11-member council.
