Hottest day of the year recorded in Parikkala

The Finnish Meteorological Institute reported that the highest temperature of the year so far was recorded in Parikkala, South Karelia, reaching 12.5 degrees Celsius today. This surpasses the previous record of 10.7 degrees, which was measured in Kokemäki, Satakunta, on Tuesday. Earlier this month, on March 6, the temperature in Hämeenlinna reached 10 degrees.
