The committee of the parliament has agreed to extend the residency permits for refugees from Ukraine until March 17, 2026, as proposed by the Minister of Justice.

The committee noted that there are no indications that the war in Ukraine will come to an end anytime soon.

Therefore, individuals from Ukraine still require a safe haven.

This matter refers to a national legislative proposal, as the relevant laws are Danish.

A vote on this issue is scheduled to take place during the parliamentary session today.

Additionally, there will be votes on eight other matters during this session, which is set to begin at 1 PM.
