Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information regarding a recent incident involving a makeshift incendiary device. Tina Berg, the head of investigations at the Drammen police station, emphasized that the police will determine the relevance of any information provided.

The police responded shortly before 3 AM after receiving a report of the event. A patrol arrived at the scene quickly. According to operations leader Tom Richard Skuggedal, a device resembling a Molotov cocktail was thrown into the property but extinguished itself. Fire-fighting foam was subsequently used to completely douse the flames. Fortunately, no one was injured in the residence, which is home to four registered occupants, who are not known to law enforcement.

Currently, there are no suspects or charges related to the case. Authorities are particularly interested in any dashcam footage from vehicles traveling in the vicinity at the time of the incident.

The investigation remains in its early stages, and law enforcement has not determined whether the device was thrown randomly or if the act was premeditated. Berg indicated that witness interviews are ongoing and that they are in the process of collecting all surveillance footage from the area for analysis.

The police consider this occurrence to be very serious and are committed to uncovering the motive, which is still unknown. They have conducted both technical and tactical investigations at the scene, securing the incendiary device for further examination. A witness from the same street saw the incident and attempted to chase the suspect as they fled.
