Lapland gets sunshine as rain falls elsewhere
Rain will continue across much of Finland on Thursday, while Lapland remains mostly dry and sunny, Yle reports. Temperatures will stay around 15 degrees Celsius.
Rain will be heaviest in southern and central parts of the country. The largest totals are expected in North Ostrobothnia and Kainuu, where up to 40 millimetres could fall within 24 hours. Heavy showers are also possible in the south, particularly in the evening.
Rain will ease considerably on Friday. Showers will be limited mainly to the east and will be light and scattered. The sun will shine in Lapland and the southwest, while cloud cover will remain fairly extensive elsewhere.
