So far this year, the government has allocated approximately 8.175 million kroner for development cooperation and humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

The funding is primarily directed towards humanitarian efforts benefiting children and youth. This includes support for 15 international development initiatives and six emergency response projects. Notably, one million kroner was designated for the World Food Programme to assist with humanitarian operations in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received 74 applications requesting a total of around 43 million kroner. Additionally, the government has provided 1.6 million kroner for four international development projects in Bangladesh, Tanzania, and Uganda, with 17 applications submitted for this funding.

The Advisory Board for International Development Cooperation reviews these applications and makes recommendations for support. Typically, the government responds positively to requests from humanitarian organizations regarding international crises.
