Family Service initiative begins pilot phase in municipalities across Denmark

The Family Service initiative will embark on a three-year pilot phase managed as a municipal service through the Association of Municipalities.

This proactive service aims to provide counseling and support for children and families facing challenges.

With the transformation from the Family Department to the Family Service, municipalities will now oversee monitoring families within their local environment instead of relocating them for observation.

Djóni Nolsøe Joensen, the Minister for Children and Education, believes this approach represents a more humane solution.
