Sunday 3rd November 2024 on 08:59 in Iceland Iceland

Today, the Icelandic Meteorological Office forecasts a southeast wind, with speeds ranging from 10 to 18 m/s, strongest in the northwest region. Rain or drizzle is expected across much of the country, with some mixed precipitation in the northern areas during the morning. Temperatures will gradually warm up, reaching between 6 to 12 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, with a clearing expected in the northeast later in the day.

Tomorrow, the wind will shift to a southerly direction, bringing a decrease in precipitation and clearer skies in the northern and western regions after midday. However, a new low-pressure system will be approaching from the south. By evening, the southeast wind will strengthen, leading to rain in the southern and western parts of the country. Expect temperatures between 8 to 13 degrees Celsius, with slightly cooler conditions on the Westfjords.

On Tuesday, southeasterly winds are predicted to continue at speeds of 10 to 18 m/s, with rain or drizzle expected, while much of the northern region will remain mostly clear.
