Residents of Iceland to experience cold and calm weather with potential snow showers in Westfjords

Today, residents of Iceland can expect generally calm weather conditions, although it will be rather cold with temperatures hovering around freezing. Wind speeds will range from three to ten meters per second, with varying directions primarily from the south.

Icy patches are reported on roads across northern regions and in the southwest. In the Westfjords, there is a possibility of sporadic snow showers after noon. As evening approaches, winds will increase in the southern areas, where snow or sleet is anticipated around midnight.

Tomorrow, winds will shift to an easterly direction, transitioning from the southerly patterns of today. The northern and western parts of the country are expected to remain mostly clear. Meanwhile, southern and eastern regions may experience light rain or sleet, with temperatures reaching up to six degrees Celsius.
